1. Divide the sum of  and  by their difference.

2. Find the value of n if 8 x 2ⁿ⁺² = 32

3. A man travelled  of his journey by rail,  by a taxi,  by a bus and the

    remaining 2 km on foot . What is the length of his total journey ?

4. The ages of P and Q are in the ratio 8:3 ,Six years hence , their ages will

     be in the ratio 9:4 . Find their present age.

5. A contractor employed 210 men to build a house in 60 days. After 12  

    days, he was joined by 70 more men. In how many days will the

    remaining work be finished ?

6. The price of a tea set is increased by 5% . If the increased price is Rs

     441 , what is its original price.

7. A man buys lemons at 6 for Rs 10 and sells at 8 for Rs 15. Find his

     gain/loss per cent 

8. A sum of money becomes  of itself in 6 years at a certain rate of

    simple interest . Find the rate of interest.

    20% . Find its cost price.

5. The value of a car decreased annually by 20% . If the present value of the car be Rs 450000 .

     What will be its value after 2 years ?

6. Amit borrowed Rs 12600 from a money lender at 15% per annum simple interest . After 3  

    years, he paid Rs 7070 and gave a goat to clear off the debt. What is the cost of the goat.

7. Mr . Aman purchased a video for Rs 20000 and a television for Rs 30000 . On the video he lost

    5% and on the television he gain 8% . Find his total gain or loss percent.

8. Divide Rs 3000 into two parts such that the simple interest on the first part for 4 years at 8%

    per annum is equal to the simple interest on the second part for 2 years at 9% per annum.
